C6 on E9

Post by Eddie Lange »

Wanna know a cool way to turn your E9 neck into a C6 neck? Go to the IV position of a chord, drop your RKL (on one knee lever guitars this is the only knee,)and your neck becomes the C6 neck for the chord in the the I position. So for instance, if your in G, go to the C position and drop your knee for G. Hope this works out for you.

You're learning Eddie, don't stop there, add the a&b pedals and it will give you a v7 with a 9 on top without moving the bar.

BTW, Eddie, that is the basis of the Universal 12--drop the E's, go to the IV fret and play your C6, B6, or whatever 6. Thinkin' about a U12?

Also Eddie just drop the knee lever at that position & hit the old A pedal & you have the 4 chord. Then move up two with the A pedal for the 5 chord.

Here's a simple C6 on E9 lick that emulates pedal 7:
(Eb)
<font size="3" face="monospace"><pre>
5/--4----6----4--|
6/--4----6----4--|
7/--4----6----4--|
8/--4L--------4L-|
9/-------6L------|</pre></font>
