maurice and bobbe
"A message from Maurice Anderson and Bobbe Seymour". Over the years we have had a number of issues that have caused conflicts between us, both personal and professional. To often , these issues have gotten out of hand, things have been said and done, and others have been encouraged to say and do things that have been detrimental to us, and more importantly, detrimental and divisive to our friends in the steel guitar industry. We both want to set aside our differences and urge others to stop encouraging divisions amoungst friends. We both share a passion for steel guitars, and desire to focus on the future and on things we care about that unite us. We look forward to a future of mutual respect and courtesy.

My dear friend Reece.
I have known you for a number of years and am proud to call you my friend and mentor.
You are responsible for getting me hooked on Pedal Steel guitar....for that I am truly grateful.
Bobbe, I don't know you personally, but I am on your mailing list and will meet you someday soon. I appreciate all the materials, training and knowlege that you make available for the Steel Guitar community.
It feels good to let the past die and begin anew...doesn't it.
Love you guys!

You guys are both heros to me and in my steel guitar hall of fame. Bobbe sold me my first pedal steel, and I play a universal because of Maurice and have had enlightening exchanges with him here on the Forum. It is so good to see you guys focusing your energies on the future. And, uh, maybe stay away from the lawyers. Most of 'em don't know much about steel guitar?

Lets play music!!!
You'se guys both have my utmost admiration for your ability, music, and contributions to the steel community.
Bobbe, does this mean all the tracks on my CD will disappear now?
You ain't gettin' Macon City Limits back, that tune's too purty to give up!!!
[This message was edited by Ray Minich on 27 September 2004 at 07:39 AM.]

Now what are we gonna' do? All we will have left is Jerry Garcia & Robert Randolph to yap about....

My warped sense of humor of course.
This is pleasant news and proves that our heros are human also. Bravo for two fine gentlemen.
Perhaps this can be celebrated with a joint effort CD?
"Life is short,...but it sure is wide"
